Adolf  Butenandt (1960) - From the Biochemistry of the World of the Insects (German presentation)

At the age of 36, Adolf Butenandt was awarded one of the 1939 Nobel Prizes in Chemistry for his work on sex hormones. He had isolated and structurally characterized the mammalian sex hormones oestrone, androsterone and progesterone, which all play important roles in sexual development and reproduction
