Abstract

While every individual carries a unique life history, Nobel Laureates also hold an exclusive scientific journey. These stories and the harvest they bear are part of our cultural heritage, but they can also offer guidance to current and future scientists. Nobel Laureates from different disciplines will reflect on their scientific journeys and share their experiences. Discussions may revolve around questions such as: How does one balance too much emphasis on avoiding failure at the expense of innovation? Is there a place for eccentric thinkers who provide brilliant ideas and insights but are less socially conventional? Did scientifically "useless" hobbies, traveling, or other life experiences contribute to future success in research? What advice would you give to the younger version of yourself?
