Final Thoughts

The interactive breakfast session builds on last year’s Mainau Island panel, “Global Challenges, Global Solutions: The Role of Science Diplomacy,” to further advance Lindau’s mission of fostering dialogue, responsibility, and impact by equipping Young Scientists with practical tools for science diplomacy.

The session will begin with a concise overview of the role of science diplomacy in addressing global challenges. To make the discussion more concrete, actionable, and anchored in real world examples, the session will feature a Panel Discussion with short inputs by case study representatives – Lindau Alumni whose current work illustrates key dimensions of science diplomacy. Nobel Laureate Rae McGrath will join the discussion as a respondent, giving context and feedback based on his experience in human rights advocacy.
