With most employers adopting AI and the many writings about AI taking over jobs, one would have thought that by now there would be job shortages in most countries. But instead, there is labour shortage, especially labour with the skills needed to work with AI. We recently completed a three-year study in the UK on all jobs advertized online and analyzed the skills that employers are looking for. In this talk I will summarize our findings and derive implications for education and training programmes in the age of AI.
