Richard Ernst (2002) - Fourier Transform Methods in Spectroscopy: A Key towards Insight and Comprehension

Abstract

The lecture presents an overview on the multitude of applications of Fourier transform methods in spectrocoscopy. It is shown that the Fourier relationship is one of the basic principles for comprehending measurement techniques that provide insight into the secrets of nature. The applications comprise optical spectroscopy, magnetic resonance, mass spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, x-ray tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging.
